Stefano Gabbana and Domencio Dolce
Stefano Gabbana was born in 1962, in Venice, Italy. Domencio Dolce was born in 1958, in Sicily.Dolce studied fashion design in Sicily and worked in his family's small clothing factory. But Gabbana had no fashion education; he had studied graphic design. Business partners and personal freinds in real life, the two met while working as assistants in an atelier in Milan Italy.
In the early eighties they had started their first fashion consulting business and, in later 1985, they presented their first womens fashion collection in Milan Italy, winning national acclaim. Most of their designs were homemade, and consisted of methodical designs along with complicated systems of fastenings. Inspirational celebrities for the fashion collection included Italian actresses Anna Magnani and Sophia Loren. Signature fashion designs later followed included gangster looking pinstripes, sexy black suits and corset dresses. Original fashion designs later followed that included sexy black suits, gangster type pinstripes, and sexy corset dresses. The designing duo next tried their luck in Japan and signed an agreement with the Kashiyama group. In 1989 they opened their first boutique in Japan and two years later they were presenting their first men's collection.
Their main concerns were creating the best and most flattering fashions. They described their look and style as being sweet and sharp looking. They have well known reputation for wanting to make women look strikingly sexy.
